Teacher Assistant (Crisis Intervention) (Probationary) Two Positions Available | TeachAsst CI - 2025-26 | - Works with staff, i.e. teachers, teacher's assistants, social workers and administration in a manner which is beneficial to the students.
- Supervises students in the crisis room and utilizes staff for support in interventions when necessary.
- Prevents a crisis from occurring by interceding upon request and removes a student from a situation when applicable.
- Prepares students for a positive classroom re-entry.
- Develops a positive working relationship with the students.
- Functions as a member of the crisis team in performing tasks relevant to setting, implementing, achieving and evaluating behavior management plans; maintains and submits progress notes and other reports; meets and consults with members of the crisis team.
- Other duties as determined by the building administrator.
- Supports the Sodus Central School District Strategic Plan.
