This position entails delivery and pickup of inter-office mail between campus bulidings, USPS mail to and from the post-office, and some hand-deliveries to parent homes.  There are occasional bulk-mailings which may require the incumbent to work an extra hour for delivery purposes.  The hours are flexible during the school day.

This position exists in our Intermediate School, assisting students and the teacher in the classroom as needed. 

This position exists in our Elementary School, assisting students and the teacher in a UPK classroom as needed. 

This position exists in our Jr./Sr. High School assisting students with special needs and the classroom teacher as needed. 

There are currently two (2) positions available:

One (1) exists in our Jr./Sr. High School Main Office.

One (1) exists in our High School Discipline Office/Athletics Offices.

• Works with staff, i.e. teachers, teacher's assistants, social workers and administration in a manner which is beneficial to the students.
• Supervises students in the crisis room and utilizes staff for support in interventions when necessary.
• Prevents a crisis from occurring by interceding upon request and removes a student from a situation when applicable.
• Prepares students for a positive classroom re-entry.
• Develops a positive working relationship with the students.
• Functions as a member of the crisis team in performing tasks relevant to setting, implementing, achieving and evaluating behavior management plans; maintains and submits progress notes and other reports; meets and consults with members of the crisis team.
• Other duties as determined by the building administrator.
• Supports the Sodus Central School District Strategic Plan.

1:1 Teacher Aide - working specifically with one student that has special needs.  

CLEAN CLASSROOMS INCLUDING FURNITURE, WALLS, FLOORS, ETC..

This position exists in our Elementary School assisting students and teachers as needed. 

This position exists in our Elementary School assisting students with special needs and their teachers as needed. 

The work involves the routine care of students and staff in accordance with a defined plan under direct supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse (School) or Nurse Teacher.  Assignments concerning care are given specifically with limited leeway allowed for exercise of independent judgment.   

This position is part-time, with no benefits, and will be less than 20 hours per week.  It will be considered a floating LPN assignment helping to cover as needed.

Working knowledge of nursing techniques and their relation to medical and surgical practices; working knowledge of sanitation and hygiene; working knowledge of medications and side effects; ability to carry out directions; ability to understand and carry out exactly detailed oral and written instructions; ability to keep records and make reports; ability to get along well with students, staff and others; cheerfulness; good moral character; patience; emotional stability; physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.

Bi-lingual Teacher Aide or Teacher Assistant needed to assist with ENL classrooms as needed.

• Troubleshoots, maintains and repairs District Telephone System including running telephone cable, programming phone changes and maintaining and updating voicemail;

• Trains staff in the use of voicemail and phone system;

• Assists staff and students in preparing instructional material for classroom presentations (i.e. video editing, music, graphics, laminating and related materials)
• Maintains audio visual equipment and repair including the PA system for each building;
• Inventories and coordinates audio visual equipment and supply usage.;

• Provides sound amplification and audio visual equipment for meetings, special events, and functions (i.e. graduation, drama/music events, sports banquets, Olympic Day);

• Performs a variety of work related to audio visual, computer, and telephone equipment such as repair, maintenance and cleaning;

• Supplies and maintains audio/visual equipment

This position will be used to fill absences as they occur in our facilities department.  Applications accepted on a continual basis.

This position will be used to fill registered nurse or licensed practical nurse absences as they occur.

This position will cover bus driver absences as they occur. 

Note: If you are not licensed, but are interested in becoming licensed a a school bus driver, we provide training.  

Substitute teacher aides and teacher assistants will cover absences as they occur.
