Job Description

The Building Principal shall be responsible to the Superintendent of Schools for the administration and supervision of the assigned building.

Supervise implementation of curriculum and instruction program.  

See that the educational goals as outlined by the State Education Department, the Board of Education, and the Strategic Plan are implemented.

Job Qualifications
  • Candidates must possess an administrative certification issued by the NYS Education Department, have a minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative/leadership capacity, and have a strong background in literacy and mathematics education. 
  • Successful candidates must have a thorough understanding of rural, culturally diverse schools. 
  • Additionally, successful candidates must demonstrate success as a strong and collaborative instructional leader.
