Job Description

• Mows, rakes and cuts grass;
• Keeps grounds free of litter;
• Plants and cares for trees, shrubs and plants;
• Removes snow and ice from walks, pathways and steps;
•  Dusts chairs, tables and other furniture;
• Washes windows, walls, woodwork and light machinery;
• Sweeps, mops and washes floors;
• Gathers and disposes of refuse;
• Cleans and polishes furniture and mowing equipment.

Job Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older. 
• Must have ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Must be responsible and prepared for work as needed.
• Physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.
• Some knowledge of grounds maintenance activities and cleaning methods, materials and equipment are required.
• One year of experience as a laborer in park or grounds maintenance or in building cleaning work.
