Job Description
  • The work involves responsibility for assisting with grant applications, analyzing and monitoring program funds, grants and expenditures.
  • General oversight of grant finances.
  • Furnishing periodic financial reports and overseeing account keeping activities.  
  • The position also maintains ongoing contact with various agencies involved in the grant process.
  • Work is performed under the general direction of the department head or agency administrators, though the incumbent has considerable latitude for the exercise of independent judgment and initiative in carrying out the details of the work. 
  • Does related work as required.

Job Qualifications
  1. Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with an Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Accounting, Finance or closely related field ; OR
  1. Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with an Associate’s Degree or 60 college credits  with a degree as described above and three (3) years of full-time paid experience involving the maintenance or auditing preparation of financial reports;  experience with grants or related field; OR
  1. High School Diploma AND five (5) years’ experience as outlined in 2 above.
  1. An equivalent combination of training and experience outlined above is sufficient to demonstrate the ability to do the work.
